Obituary for Timothy Girard
Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 68 years. The son of the late Gerald and Gertrude (Pretzer) Girard, Tim was born September 21, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan. He earned his Associates Degree in Radiological Technology from Delta College and was employed at St. Luke’s Hospital (Covenant HealthCare) in Saginaw for 32 years until his retirement. Tim was previously married to Rose Trombley. He later married Kathy Gardner on April 14, 1998. They survive him. He enjoyed shopping, reading, astronomy and history. Most of all, he loved spending time and joking with his family especially his grandchildren.
Also surviving him are one son, two daughters and their spouses, Dan Girard and his fiancée Trisha Waite, Midland and their children, Grace, Preston, Lacey and Emily; Shaena and Ben Faubert, Saginaw and their children Oliver and Emelia; Kasey Girard, Saginaw and her children, Aiden, Gauge, Roman and Michael.
Funeral service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm will officiate. Honoring Tim’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to wishes of the family.
