Grandpa taught me a lot of things as a young man, in his stern way. One of the most important is forgiveness, maybe indirectly, but a lesson none the less. I have a lot mixed emotions, and will never again have the opportunity to tell him that I love and forgive him. It is said, "The mettle of a man is tested in adversities and he, who remains firm in his beliefs comes out shining." Grandpa always had advice, humor, and if you really paid attention a very large heart. As he joins his beloved, and walks with her, I am sure he reflects on his life with laughter, happiness, and possibly even some humility. I love you grandpa
