Obituary for Sherry Lee Barron

Sherry Lee Barron
Midland, Michigan

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sherry Lee Barron. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Sherry passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the age of 72 with her girls by her side.

Born on May 10, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan, Sherry was the daughter of the late Carl and Wanda Turner (Vaughan). Sherry married her soulmate Bernard M. Barron on March 13, 1971. Bernie sadly passed on March 6, 2021.

Sherry is survived by three daughters: Misty Barron, Dawn Barron-Bray (Tom) and Wendy Alderson (Jason); grandchildren, Robyn Rotondo (Vince), Mason Bray, Keegan Bray and Carly Alderson; great-grandchildren Leonardo Rotondo, Vincenzo Rotondo and Willow Paisley. She also leaves behind three siblings: Safiya Crane, Gary Turner and Carl Turner II (Kim). As well as many close friends, family including brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenneth and Brenda Hughes and those to whom she was honorary “mom”.

Having lived her entire life in Michigan, Sherry had a love for the beauty of the Great Lakes. Or as she liked to refer to them as “the big lake”. She enjoyed traveling and held a special place in her heart for Yellowstone and all the wilds of the Rocky Mountains. She also enjoyed her gardens, planting new flowers each spring and tending her plants with the same care she gave those who loved her. While Sherry's absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of everyone who knew her, her memory will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the MICU and Respiratory Care staff at MyMichigan Health- Midland for their compassionate care for Sherry in her final days.
