Sharon L. Murphy,

Saginaw, Michigan.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper. Age 72 years. Daughter of the late William and Marjorie (Beard) Butt, Sharon was born April 3, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married the love of her life, Gerald Murphy, her loving husband of 41 years, on January 5, 1980. He survives her. Sharon’s biggest enjoyment was spending time with her family and trips to Houghton Lake.

Surviving besides her husband Gerald are an everlasting bond with her daughter, Brookie Taylor, Saginaw; her grandson, Trent Taylor and his fiancé Megan Burnside, which she had a special place in her heart; a great-granddaughter, Myla Rose ; a great-grandson, Eli Lawson; three brothers, Russell (Sally) Whetstone, Will (Victoria) Whetstone and Mike (Christy) Perry ; seven sisters, Helen Cameron, Wynette (Glenn) Addis, Marsha (David) Sherman, Sue Ann (Lou) Germani, Terri (David) Lutz, Tracey (Dave) Amon, Shelley Strachen; many nieces and nephews.

Honoring Mrs. Murphy’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Paul Hinz will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home, where the family will be present on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Kidney Foundation.
