Beloved wife, daughter and sister passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her home. Age 42 years. The daughter of Russell and Ruth (Carney) Miller, Sarah was born on February 3, 1979 in Midland, Michigan. She married Jonathan Banner on June 3, 2005. He survives her. Sarah graduated from Heritage High School Class of 1997. She then went on to graduate from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Health Education and then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from S.V.S.U. She was employed at DaVita Dialysis. Following in her father’s footsteps, she was a member of the National Ski Patrol working at Marquette Mountain and Bintz Apple Mountain Ski Resorts. Sarah was heavily involved in Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue. She will long be remembered for being a caring and devoted nurse, having a free spirit and her smiling eyes.


Surviving besides her husband Jonathan are her parents, Russ and Ruth Miller; two siblings, Susan Miller, Pinconning; Andrew (Julie) Miller, Saginaw; her niece and nephew, Elsie and Ezra; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Cynthia Banner, La Pointe, Wisconsin.


Honoring Sarah’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service took place on Friday, April 30, 2021.
