On Sunday, May 2, 2021, Sarah Albito, age 58, passed away at University of Michigan Hospital, comforted and surrounded by her husband and two daughters. Sarah battled with chronic kidney failure
for 21 years. In November of 2020, she was diagnosed with post-transplant lymphoma. Despite her illnesses, Sarah maintained her sense of humor and love of life. Within her community, she was a
parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas and a former member of the Philippine Association of Northeastern Michigan. Her hobbies included cross-stitching, Korean dramas, and spending time with family and
friends. Sarah was born on July 13, 1962 in Siquijor, Negros Oriental to the late Francis Avanzado Sr and Henrietta Balongag. Sarah was the beloved wife of Anthony Albito, whom she married on July 28, 1988 in Naperville, Illinois.
Sarah is survived by two children, Ashley (John) Siffermann and Paige Albito; her mother-in-law Winifred
Albito; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carlton(Jake) Craighead, Dave Albert, Anne Craighead, Margie
Avanzado, and Rhema Avanzado; three sisters, Frances Avanzado, Donna Avanzado, and Libby Albert;
two brothers, Kit Avanzado and the late Francis Avanzado Jr; along with many nieces and nephews;
cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Albito’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human service ordinance, the limitation of number gathered, mask wearing, and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, c/o 1169 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108.
