Obituary for Ronald Leo Haskin

Ronald Leo Haskin,
Harrison, Michigan,
Formerly of Saginaw.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 22, 2023. Age 81 years. Ron fought a long and courageous battled with heart disease and aplastic anemia. Ron was born July 12, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan, he graduated Aurthur Hill High School in 1959 and served in the US Navy 1961-1965, including the 1962 October Missile Crisis Blockade of Cuba. He married his sweetheart, Carole Wrege in 1963.

They were blessed with three wonderful children, Steven Haskin, Lisa Edwards and Mark Haskin. Ron leaves four loving grandchildren, Nichole (Dave) Kuehnemund, Josh (Karli) Edwards, Zach (Jessica) Edwards, and Justice (Cassidy) Haskin, seven great grandchildren, and sister Sally Beaudin. He was preceded in death by parents, Lorraine and Matthew Haskin, and birth father, Joseph Kubiak.

Ron worked as a Tool and Die Maker at Helfrecht Machine (Saginaw, MI), General Motors (Saginaw, MI), The Boeing Company (Seattle, WA), and Rockwell International (Rocky Flats, Golden, CO). Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and skiing especially with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday February 27, 2023 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), Saginaw. Pastor Keith Harris will officiate with Military Services conducted by the United States Navy and American Legion Post #439. A private burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Saginaw County Humane Society or Tunnel to Towers.
