Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Ascension St. Mary’s Medical Center. Age 88 years. The son of the late Sidney and Harriet (Watson) Sears, Ronald was born on July 25, 1934 in Flint, Michigan. He married Mary Alice “MA” Britt on March 29, 1958. She predeceased him on February 23, 2008. Ron was a 1952 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Navy from 1954 until 1956. Ron was employed as a salesman for the 3M Company from 1964 to 1991 staying with the company during all its changes. He was a member of the Fordney Club and a member of the beloved Germania Town and Country Club for 31 years where he served as president in 2001. Ron enjoyed golf, traveling and especially his family.

Surviving to cherish his memory are one daughter, one son and their spouses, Sandy (Bill) Cline, Saginaw; Scott (Tracy) Sears, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Sarah (Jon) Holderbaum, Grand Rapids; Abigail (Stephen) Morris, Akron, Ohio; Evan (Galini) Cline, Quechee, Vermont; Amber (Shaun) Griffiths, Saginaw; Cody Sears, Saginaw; a great-papa to Jane, Liam and Luke Holderbaum, Naomi and Lydia Morris, Jade and Brett Griffiths; one brother, Jack (Barbara) Sears, Saginaw; two sisters, Nancy (Robert) Puszykowski, Saginaw; Sally Kipke, Rochester Hills; several nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Harriet and Abraham Young and a brother-in-law, Herbert Kipke.

Funeral service will take place 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), Saginaw. Pastor Nate Murray will officiate. Honoring Mr. Sears wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Hopevale Church Greater Things Campaign.
