Carrollton, Michigan.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Covenant HealthCare Harrison. Age 85 years. Son of the late LaVerne and Marguerite (Rowan) Marsh, Robert was born December 14, 1937 in Jackson, Michigan. He married Joanne Renshaw, his loving wife of 63 years, on October 31, 1959. She survives him. Bob was employed by the Carrollton Public School System retiring in 2000. He was known for making people smile by talking like Donald Duck. Bob loved camping, snowmobiling, NASCAR, and watching the large ships at the Soo.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Joanne Marsh; three daughters and one son, Dianne Marsh and her husband Tom Sosnowski, San Jose, California; Carrie and Brian Green, Saint Johns, Michigan; Jill and Mike Cole, Saginaw; Neal and Josie Marsh, Hemlock; nine grandchildren, Andy (Calla), Dan (Katelyn), Alex, Julianna, Lauren, Braeden, Benjamin, Ellie and Trevor; a great-grandson, Henry; three nieces and one nephew: Kim, Terri, Jeff, and Sue. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Miller.
Honoring Mr. Marsh’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), Saginaw, Michigan. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Covenant Palliative Care.
