Loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 69 years. The son of the late Richard S. Nowaczyk Sr. and Delphine (Kersheski) Nowacyk, Richard was born October 13, 1951 in Saginaw. He married Connette Zehnder on June 19, 1981. She predeceased him April 26, 2020. Rick was employed at General Motors for 34 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Brothers of Kosciuszko Pulaski Club, the Elks Club, the Moose Club and the N.R.A. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing golf, motorcycle riding and being outdoors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are one son, John Paul Schneiderhan and Jill Venegas of Hemlock, grandson, Avery, and Jill’s children, Raul and Haylee Venegas, Alexis and Jimmy Al-Bazzi and Samantha Venegas; Hemlock; one daughter, Lynn and Adrien Schneiderhan Drouault, Roanoke, Virginia; a brother, T.J. and Debbie Nowaczyk, Rockford; nieces and nephews, T.J. and Kelly Nowaczyk and their children, Olivia and Alex; Amanda and Darryl Carlington and their son, Wyatt; Gregory and Courtney Nowaczyk; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Roxann Vasey, Saginaw; Dennis and Sheri Zehnder, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews.

Due to capacity and seating restrictions, a private funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. For those that wish to attend remotely, the service will be live streamed beginning at 9:55 a.m. Saturday using the following link https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/79620525 . A public visitation will take place on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In accordance with State of Michigan mandated ordinances, the limitations of numbered gathered, safe distancing and use of masks will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family to be used toward a bench at the Villas of West Branch.
