Beloved husband, father, brother and uncle peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at his home. Age 65 years. The son of the late John and Wanda (Wojnar) LeClair. Richard was born on October 28, 1957 in Bay City, Michigan. Richard married the love of his life, Gail Omlor on August 15, 1981. She survives him. Richard was the owner of 7-11 (Weiss and Bay) for 33 years and was known as “Mr. Slurpee”. He was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where he volunteered countless hours as a church elder. Rich enjoyed hunting, playing euchre, cooking and spending time at the family cottage on Higgins Lake. Rich’s everlasting legacy will be the love of his family, his energetic work ethic and always helping and encouraging people to do better for themselves.

Surviving besides his wife Gail are his daughter, Shelley (David) Carter; his siblings, Ron (Nikki) LeClair, Irene (Kenneth Kruchowski) LeClair Jantz and Leonard (Jane) LeClair; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jan Conflitti, Richard Omlor, Robert Omlor and James (Kerina) Omlor; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his “adopted daughter” and her family, Kari (Dustin) DeVeaux Leach; his grand-dog, Boo. Rich was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Jacklyn Omlor; his brother-in-law, Michael Conflitti; their longtime friend, Catherine DeVeaux.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Covenant V.N.A. Hospice for their loving and compassionate care given. Also, Rich’s family wants to thank their neighbors, their church family and especially the store patrons for years of support and friendship.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St. Pastor Michael Korte will officiate. Honoring Mr. LeClair’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
