Regina A. “Jean Ann” “Jeannie” Bishop,
Saginaw, Michigan
Loving mother and grandmother passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Age 75 years. The daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Leachman) Sonntag, Regina was born September 5, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was employed by the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office and Saginaw County Sherriff Department for 23 years retiring in 2003. Jean Ann was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and one son, Michelle Renee (Brian) Bottke, Cadillac; Larry (Tammy) Bishop, Westfield, Indiana; Sarah Jean (Rich) Lichtenfelt, Columbiaville; 14 grandchildren, Stephen, Bernadette, Richard, Aaron, Alexandria, Christian, Daniel, Genevieve, Sydney, Mary-Therese, Nicholas, Bradley, Katherine and Joshua; many loved and cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jean Ann was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Regina Bottke.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Bishop’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Saturday from 9:15 a.m. until time of Mass. Family and friends will pray the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Toni & Trish Hospice House. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
