Obituary for Phyllis Duperon
Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Close to Home in Bay City, Michigan. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Harry and Leona (Rogalski) Ruggles, Phyllis was born April 14, 1928 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She married Tim J. Duperon on October 19, 1946. He predeceased her April 30, 2019. Phyllis was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish. She enjoyed family gatherings and making her cheese soup. Phyllis will be remembered for making the holidays special for everyone.
Surviving are three daughters, three sons and their spouses, Kathleen and Dennis Esckilsen Sr. , Saginaw; Mary Jane Millerov, Reese; Thomas and Margaret Duperon, Saginaw; Cynthia and Harold Burnison, Fairgrove; Don and Cami Duperon, Saginaw; Saginaw; Robert and Melinda Duperon, Saginaw; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Kozan; many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by a son, David Duperon, a son-in-law, Steve Millerov, a brother, Clarence Ruggles, and by a sister, Charlotte Ruggles.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 3945 Williamson Road in Saginaw. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, O.S.F.S., will officiate with private burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at St. Francis de Sales Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Francis de Sales Parish.
