Went to join his Lord and Savior on November 24th surrounded by his family at the age of 90. He was born in Saginaw to the late Bernice (Kowalski) and Joseph Wujkowski. He served proudly in the United States Army in the 24th Infantry Division during the Korean War. He graduated from St. Joseph High School. After the War he worked for Texaco Oil Co. for 18 years, Tom’s Vending, and 18 years at Saginaw Steering Gear where he retired in 1998. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, of American Legion Post #439, Polish Falcons, Pulaski, and K of C Council #8808. He devoted his life to his wife, children and grandchildren. He made a huge difference in their lives. He enjoyed winters in Perdido Key, Florida, babysitting, gardening and playing solitaire. Peter was born November 11, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was married to Theresa (Zientek) Wujkowski on October 14, 1961. She survives him. Peter is also survived by his devoted children, Catherine Kolpacki (Tom), Joseph Wujkowski,; Peter John Wujkowski (Jodi), Patrick Wujkowski (Marcy), Marianne McKaig (Louie) and Thomas Wujkowski, and grandchildren: Caitlyn Pauza (Jeff), Andrew Kolpacki, Jordan, Lindsey, Ashley and Ava McKaig, Emilee, Robyn, Kourtney, Sam, Ella, Joshua, and Grace Wujkowski; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Pauza; sister-in-law Ann Blazejewski (Richard); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents,Bernice and Joseph Wujkowski; brothers, James and David Wujkowski; sister, Juanita Scott; brothers-in-law, Eugene Zientek and Tom Scott; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wujkowski and Donna Wujkowski and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind many Snow Bird friends in Perdido Key, Florida.
Honoring Mr. Wujkowski’s wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48609. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with Military Services conducted by American Legion Post #439. A private burial of cremains will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where family will be present on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Wounded Warriors Project, or the Knights of Columbus #8808 (Holy Spirit).
