Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 68 years. Daughter of the late Leon and Betty (Monroe) Baldwin, Patricia was born August 21, 1953 in Flint, Michigan. She was married to Randall P. Smith on August 10, 1973. He survives her. Patricia was a registered nurse at Saginaw General Hospital taking great pride in caring for the babies in the nursery and NICU. She was also employed by Dr. Raana Akbar until her retirement in 2005. Patty was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and past member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church. She enjoyed music, going to dinner and the theatre and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband Randall are two daughters, Melissa and Skip Mulligan, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; Andrea and Eric Jamrog, Bay City, Michigan; four grandchildren, Alayna and Chaz Mulligan, Lauren and Ethan Jamrog; one sister, Linda and Darrell Falconer, Saginaw; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beth and Bob Shemanski, Amy and Dennis McCallum; seven nieces and nephews, Rachel Eisenlohr, Rob Sherman, Marlies McCallum, Pam McCallum, Julie Crockett, Rosalie Aldrich and Joe Shemanski. Patty was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Baldwin and one sister, Marilyn Baldwin.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Smith’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Covenant NICU or St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
