Saginaw, Michigan.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare. Age 78 years. Daughter of the late Andrew J. and Florence (Halin) Fisher, Nancy was born August 7, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to the love of her life, Ronald A. Goodwin for 59 years. He survives her. Nancy enjoyed the simple things in life such as going up north to their cottage, the beach, and especially spending time with her family and friends. All those who knew Nancy knew how strong, brave and how much of a fighter she was. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met and was an inspiration to many.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband Ronald, two daughters, Debbie Falkenberg and Laura Goodwin, both of Saginaw; three grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan) Maxwell, Joseph Falkenberg, Jenna Falkenberg; a great-granddaughter, Berklee Maxwell; brothers –in-law and sisters –in-law, Janice Goodwin Belt, Jerry and Marianne Goodwin, Wayne and Kathy Goodwin; several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Jay and her sister, Marianne.
Honoring Mrs. Goodwin’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw, 121 S. Harrison, Saginaw. Pastor Ted McCulloch will officiate. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to First Presbyterian Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
