Beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 78 years. The daughter of the late John and Katherine (Peil) Schneider, Nancy was born on August 16, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. Nancy and the love of her life, Donald Pockrandt, were together for 28 years until his passing on March 16, 2022. She and Don both enjoyed golfing, polka dancing, downhill skiing and going for convertible rides, especially to go for ice cream. Nancy was a master gardener and loved tending to her flowers and plants. She was very artistic. She has a special knack for knitting and sewing, and spent countless hours making and donating baby blankets and hats to local shelters. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She never missed a birthday party or their sporting events and games.


Surviving are one daughter and one son, Diane (Joe) LeFevre, Bill (Sandy) Whalen; her step-children, Kimberly (Kim) Hubbard, Karen (Phil) Rupp, Kellie Wascher and Kayla Pockrandt; her grandchildren, Steven Whalen, JohnPaul, Marirose, Theresa, Joey, Rachel and Nicole LeFevre; April (Bob) Arndt, Michelle and Michael Campbell, Haley (Bryce) Gore, Barrie and Alice Rupp, Alex and Wesley Wascher, Cory and Jenny Hearns; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Bobby and William; one brother, Jerry (Penny) Schneider; two nephews.


Funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N. Miller Rd. (at River). Pastor Kirk Abatelli will officiate with interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Bay County Master Gardeners or the Pregnancy Care Center of Saginaw.
