Monica Kubiak,
Carrollton Twp., Michigan.
Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, Sunday December 4, 2022. Age 86 years. Daughter of the late Michael and Irene (Skelcy) Kusowski, Monica was born July 18, 1936 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a 1954 graduate of Saginaw High. She was married to Kenneth Joseph Kubiak, her loving husband of 60 years, on June 17, 1961. He predeceased her November 28, 2021. Monica was employed at Kretchmer Corporation. She was a member of St. John Paul II Parish-St. Josaphat Catholic Church, life member of its Rosary Altar Society and League of Catholic Women. She enjoyed baking and especially loved spending time with her family.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and two sons, Kathryn and Christopher Browne, Midland; Julie and Jay Samuels, East Tawas; Keith and Julie Kubiak, Livonia; Jeffrey and Lori Kubiak, Loveland, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Matthew and Kayla Browne, Melanie and Curtis Hogan, Jaylee and Matthew Compau, Tyler Samuels, Zachary Kubiak, Jacob and Elizabeth Kubiak, Mitchell Kubiak, Hunter Kubiak and Payton Kubiak; a great-grandson, Maverick Compau and an angel on the way; one sister, Dorothy Graham, Saginaw; one brother, Joseph and Carolyn Kusowski, Saginaw; a sister-in-law, Helen Kubiak; many nieces and nephews. Monica was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers, Fidelis Vincke, Eugene, William and Michael Kusowski.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9 , 2022 at St. John Paul II Parish-St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The St. John Paul II Rosary Altar Society will pray the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John Paul II Parish or the family wishes.
