Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Mary Lou (Wasney) Felton, passed way in the early afternoon hours of Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 84 years. Mary Lou was born on January 21, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Frank and Eleanor (Herzberg) Wasney. On May 26, 1956, Mary Lou married the love of her life, Robert D. Felton, and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2003. After 20 years of service, Mary Lou retired in 2001 as a Bus Driver from the Saginaw Township Community Schools. Mary Lou enjoyed playing Yahtzee, Bingo and playing the slots at the casino, hanging out at the senior center. and having BBQ's. She loved knitting and creating beautiful items for family and friends. She mostly loved being around her family and taking care of her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her two children, Barbara (Timothy) Coe and Robert (Suzette) Felton; her grandchildren, Mary (Gus) Koutras , Karri (Joel) Hamel, Sarah (Jeremy) Cole, Beth (Thomas) Darabos, Zachary Felton, Victoria Felton, Miranda Felton, Dakota Felton, and Kayla Bradford; great-grandchildren-Nathaniel, Theodore, Jackson, Brynn, Evalynn, Andonis, Timotheos, Emma; a sister, Bette Ryan; a brother, Thomas Wasney. A special close family friend Marcia Becker (and family) Mary Lou was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Kay Bradford and Marie Brown; her brother, Richard Wasney; her grandson, Adam Robert Brown.
At the request of Mary Lou and her family, cremation has taken place and Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan on June 18th, 2022 at 9:30 am. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, www.snowfuneralhome.net
