Obituary for Marjorie Elaine Trojan
Marjorie Elaine Trojan,
Saginaw, Michigan
Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Friday, October 21, 2022. Age 102 years. Daughter of the late John and Martha (Becker) Eberlein, Marjorie was born November 20, 1919 in Sebewaing, Michigan. She was married to Eugene F. Trojan, her loving husband of 55 years, on August 10, 1940. He predeceased her in March of 1996. Marjorie was a member of St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church and enjoyed Bible Study and conversation at the church. She was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital for over 50 years. Marjorie was proud of her German heritage and her home town of Sebewaing where she frequently recalled stories of her father delivering ice to the local housewives.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and two sons, Michael Trojan, Midland; Terry and Beverly Trojan, Memphis, Tennessee; Margene and Gregory Henry, Ann Arbor; Mary and Robert Boese, Muskegon; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Joan Trojan, and one sister and two brothers, Barbara Green, John and James Eberlein. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember visiting Mimi’s home where there was always a fresh tin of cookies on the refrigerator.
Honoring Mrs. Trojan’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate. Friends may visit at the church, where the family will be present on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
