Obituary for Marjorie Ann (Wright) Knight

Knight, Marjorie Ann (Wright)
Saginaw Township, Michigan

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt, Marjorie Ann (Wright) Knight passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County in Owosso, Michigan. Age 79 years. Marjorie was born on March 29, 1943 in St. Clairsville, Ohio to the late George and Ethel (Francis) Wright. On November 24, 1962 inside of St. Paul Catholic Church in Flushing, Ohio Marjorie married the love of her life, Robert A. Knight, and he survives her. Throughout her lifetime Marjorie had numerous roles but nothing was more important and brought her more joy than being a mother and a wife. Caring for her daughter, Tonya Ann, and her home was always most important to her. One of her favorite pastimes was working around her yard planning flowers and gardening. Marjorie will be missed dearly by all, and her memories cherished forever.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of almost 60 years, Robert A. Knight; daughter, Tonya Ann Knight; three sister, Josephine (Clarence) Halterman of Georgia, Nancy (Stewart) Easton of Pennsylvania, and Doris Jackson of Ohio; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Helen Knight; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marjorie is happily reunited with her parents, George and Ethel (Francis) Wright; brothers, Charles (Grace) Wright and George J. (Ulaughn) Wright; sisters, Zora “Betty” (Pat) Patton, Norma (Bill) Fry, and Dorothy (Melvin) Burdette; and brother-in-law, Thomas Jackson.

Marjorie’s family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the staff of the Hospice House of Shiawassee County and Covenant V.N.A Hospice for the extraordinary care and compassion provided to Marjorie and her family.

At the request of Marjorie and her family, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
