Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Wellsprings Assisted Living. Age 90 years. Daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Braasch) Burke, Marilyn was born April 19, 1932 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She was married to Bruce Albert Wells, her loving husband of 63 years, on August 22, 1955. He predeceased her September 29, 2018. Marilyn was a registered nurse at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Marilyn enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Sherrie (Randy) Yeager, Saginaw; Debbie (Jeff) Dornseifer, Farmington Hills; five grandchildren, Alyssa (Patrick) Konesko, Lance Yeager, Kayla (Chris Ciliento) Dornseifer, Brett (Holly) Yeager, Nicole Dornseifer; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Beckett Konesko; one sister, Jan Gammill, Fruita, Colorado; one niece, Fawn (Ben) Lawrence and one nephew, Zach Harris. Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Burke.
Funeral Service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw. Fr. Curt Norman will officiate with entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Wellspring Hospice.
