Obituary for Lynnette Ann (Green) Albosta

Albosta, Lynnette Ann (Green)
Saginaw, Michigan

Lynnette Ann (Green) Albosta passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Rose Arbor Place in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Age 69 years. Lynnette was born in Flint, Michigan on May 24th, 1952. She was the third child of Wallace and Evelyn Green. The family later moved to Freeland, Michigan and this is where Lynnette was raised.

Lynnette had four children and while her family was young she stayed home to raise her children. When she was 36 years old Lynnette returned to Saginaw Valley State University to pursue her studies in Nursing. She graduated Summa Cum laude in May of 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. After graduation she went on to work in the Emergency Department at Covenant Hospital. Lynnette worked in various departments at Covenant healthcare throughout her career including the cardiac step-down unit and ambulatory surgery. Upon retirement she looked forward to spending more time with family. Lynnette was a natural caregiver and nursing suited her personality very well as a career.

She enjoyed her time outside by gardening and bird watching. Lynnette loved birds so much that she trained herself to identify common Michigan birds by their calls. Some of her favorites were tufted titmice and hummingbirds. Nettie was also a runner for much of her adult life and very health conscious. When running became difficult on her joints she would always be up for a walk outside. She loved to walk fast while listening to the birds or chatting with her companion.

She became member of Ss Peter and Paul In 1999. Lynnette volunteered at her church in various roles and cherished her time teaching catechisms to the children of Ss Peter and Paul.

Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Heather Sweebe of Chelsea, MI, Crystal (Kelly) Briden of Harare, Zimbabwe, Rick (Kristin) Burmeister of Vicksburg, MI, and Jeff Burmeister of Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Sweebe, Grace, Faith, Luke, Tim, and Hope Briden, Heidi, Elsie, and Lena Burmeister; mother, Evelyn G. Green; siblings, Wally (Sue) Green, Debbie (Dave) Campbell, and Lisa (Randy Gross) Green; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lynnette is happily reunited with her husband, Richard “Dick” Albosta; and father, Wallace A. Green.

Lynnette’s family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the Staff of Bickford of Portage and Rose Arbor for the extraordinary care and compassion they provided to Lynnette and her family.
