Obituary for Louis "Mike" Jolin

Louis “Mike” Jolin,
Zilwaukee, Michigan.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at his home following a brief illness. Age 79 years. Son of the late Louis and Cleata (Hughes) Jolin, Louis was born December 24, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Janice Bauer on November 30, 1963. She survives him. Mike retired from Grey Iron Foundry after 34 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, cutting grass and the casino.

Surviving besides his loving wife Janice are three sons and one daughter, Mike (Julie) Jolin, Jeff Jolin, Scott (Amy) Jolin, Tara Lyden; six grandchildren, Jackie (Graham) Sova, Ryan (Sara) Lyden, Jacob Jolin, Madison Jolin, Zachary Jolin, Loren Jolin; a great- grandson , Nolan Sova; three brothers, Robert (Mary) Jolin, Adamsville, Tennessee; Richard Jolin, Zilwaukee; Don (Betty Ann) Jolin, Kochville; brother-in-law, Lanny (Naomi) Bauer; sisters-in-law, Judie Spitz, Gail Votruba, Monica (Russ) Ritchie, Maribeth Allen, JoEllen (Terry) Krawczak; many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donald and Berniece (Rousseau) Bauer; brothers-in-law, Larry Vacik, Rich Votruba and Bob Spitz.

A Memorial Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Chaplain Mike Leiter will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
