Beloved father and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at HealthSource Saginaw. Age 79 years. The son of the late Leslie and Julia (Wojcik) Walters, Sr., Leslie was born on November 18, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. Leslie was a true “jack of all trades”. He was always a helpful set of hands and eyes. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. Leslie was a devoted Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. He formerly owned a 1966 and a 1994 Corvette and was a member of the Zephyrs Car Club. Leslie loved to quiz people, tell jokes and was famous for knowing “useless trivia” and would often text random facts to friends and family about trivia and pop culture. Leslie was a former softball coach.
Surviving are three daughters, Laurel Walters, Saginaw; Cheryl (Joseph) Storch, Greer, South Carolina; Allysha Walters and her significant other Trey Nightingale, Oxford; five grandchildren, Valerie (Antwon) Walters-Mathis, Jennifer Faldrowicz, Conner Storch, Brittney Faldrowicz and Taylor Storch; a great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Walters; two sisters, June (Jerome) Hoppe and Carol (Joseph) Hoppe; several nieces and nephews. Leslie was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn Myers; his former wives, Patricia Walters and Nancy Walters.
Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Pat Lagan will officiate with entombment to follow in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
