Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Leona M. Masica, passed away peacefully in the evening hours of Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 85 years. Leona was born on February 8, 1937 in Grayling, Michigan. Leona was employed at A & P Grocery Store for numerous years. She retired from the grocery store after she and a friend, Susan (Moeller) Robnolte, opened their own ceramic shop; Down to Earth Ceramics in Saginaw.
Surviving Leona is her husband of 42 years, William T. Masica; son, Daniel Watters of Saginaw; granddaughter, Krystal (Zach) Miller of House Springs, Missouri; great-granddaughter, Haley Miller; brother-in-law, James (Kathy) Masica of Albuquerque, New Mexico; former daughter-in-law, Dawn Watters of Saginaw; and good friend, Connie Griffin of Saginaw. Leona was preceded in death by her son, Dale Watters, Jr.
Honoring Mrs. Masica’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, www.snowfuneralhome.net
