Obituary for Katie Jo Choate

Katie Jo Choate
Bedford, Indiana
Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan

Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and mother, Katie Jo Choate, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 25, 2022 at her residence in Bedford, Indiana. Age 34 years. Katie was born on January 7, 1988 in Saginaw, Michigan to her loving parents Daniel P. and Shardell S. (Kuebler) Choate. Katie was a 2006 graduate of Nouvel Catholic Central High School; she was a friend to everyone and built lifelong connections with her best friends Kristen and Ashley. Katie enjoyed writing and listening to music. She loved all music from Elvis to Tupac with Sublime in between; and she proved it when it was her turn to Karaoke with her parents during Margarita Night. She was able to make anyone laugh and put a smile on the biggest frown; she made friends with anyone wherever she went. Katie had many joys in life, but her whole world revolved around her daughter, Emily Jo “Peanut”. They shared a unique bond shown through Katie’s abundance of love and good times.

Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Daniel P. and Shardell S. (Kuebler) Choate; daughter, Emily Jo Choate; siblings, Stacy Wood, Kristy Morrison, Andrew Choate, and Amy Choate; nieces and nephews, Ian, Avri, Trent, Rylen, Raleigh, and Savannah; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Katie is happily reunited with her grandparents, William and Genevieve Choate and Robert and Marilyn Kuebler; uncle, William Choate; aunt, Julia Choate; and cousin, Matthew Choate.
