Obituary for Joyce Mary Collins

Joyce Mary Collins

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She had just celebrated her 87th birthday. Daughter of the late Catherine Keegans, Joyce was born May 16, 1934 in Glasgow, Scotland. She met the love of her life, Jim, while he was stationed in Glasgow. She then traveled to the United States via the Queen Mary in 1956. She was married to James Alfred Collins on September 17, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan. He predeceased her March 11, 1986. She was a member of Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption. Joyce enjoyed her friends, especially being with her family and had a love for stray animals.

Surviving to cherish her memory are one daughter and three sons, Laura “Lori” Aranjo, Michael A. Collins, Kevin and Anne Collins, Daniel “Danny” Collins and his fiancé Kris Harrington, all of Saginaw; five grandchildren, Anthony and Allison Aranjo, Jessica Aranjo, Rita, Allison and Luka Collins; two step-granddaughters, Brittanie Darling and Tori Duke; three great-grandchildren; Adrian, Abram and Amelia Aranjo; two brothers-in–law, Edward Collins, Chico, California; John Kiley, Pahrump, Nevada; several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Tyra McKee, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. “WE WILL MISS YOU DEARIE!”
