John “PaJohn” Shipman
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Age 73 years. Son of the late Vern C. and Virginia (Giuliani) Shipman, John was born March 5, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Marilyn Munro on August 24, 1974. She predeceased him March 8, 2008. John was in construction with Central Ceiling and retired in August of 2016. He was one of the leading members of Highway Classic Cruisers since 1999. John enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing pool and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving to cherish his memory are one daughter, Janet L. Shipman, Saginaw; a grandson, Francisco A. Munoz and a granddaughter, Gianna M. Shipman; his sister, Julie Morrow, Charlevoix; his nephew, Chad (Raechel) Morrow; his nieces, Kris Russell, Tara Morrow, and Lindy (Eric) Rowel; and longtime companion, Gail Albrecht and her daughter, Katie (Andrew) Crispin and their children, Abbie and Peyton; special cousins, Kathy Moffett, Colleen (Bill) Eichkolt, Robin (Kim) Howley, Mary Jo Roberts and Dan (Sue) Giuliani; special friends, Ron Fitzmaurice, Don Moffett, Don (Judy) Kolschmidt, and all of the past and current friends of the Highway Classic Cruisers. John was preceded in death by an aunt, Fran Howley.
Honoring John’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at his home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center.
