John M. Besaw,
Saginaw, Michigan.
Loving husband, father, brother and friend passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at his home. Age 81 years. Son of the late Kermit and Betty (Neuschafer) Besaw, John was born September 5, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Andrew High School. John served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He married Sharon L. Lemanski, his loving wife of 58 years on October 27, 1962. She survives him. John was a patternmaker at General Motors retiring in 1996 after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church and its bible study group. He volunteered in the READ program at St. Stephens and had been an assistant coach for his son’s Special Olympics Softball Team. John loved his family, the triplets and all things related to history, geography, watching the Weather Channel and road trips.
Surviving besides his wife Sharon are two sons and two daughters, Michael Besaw, Saginaw; Susan (William) Marshall, Dover, NH; Thomas Besaw, Cass City; Marianne (Chris Edwards) Besaw, Midland; his brother, Jim (Gail) Besaw, Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters-in-law, Beverly Langsdon and Diane Seamon; brother-in-law, Bob (Sue) Lemanski; and close friends, Jim and Ellie Terry and their three children, Karly, Kevin and Kerstin.
In lite of COVID 19, a private Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw St., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish or St. Mary’s Guardian Angel Adult Respite Service.
