John Louis “John the Greek” Kerreos
Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father and grandfather passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison Campus. Age 80 years. The son of the late Louis and Pauline (May) Kerreos, John was born on May 26, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan. John served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964. He was employed for General Motors until his retirement. John attended Old Town Christian Outreach. He loved going to casinos, fishing, playing the lottery, shooting pool and especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
Surviving are three children, Jim (Tanya) Varney, Saginaw; Tammy Kerreos, Saginaw; Renee Kerreos, Saginaw; seven grandchildren, Taliah Kerreos, Tia Kerreos, Sho’Mari Kerreos, Valencia Kerreos, Nikkos Kerreos, Ashley Kengle and Crystal Petrie; eight great-grandchildren, Mason Shippy, Jaiden Kerreos, Joey Kerreos, River Maxey, Kail Kengle, Honor Kengle, Rylee Petrie, Sadie Petrie and a princess on the way; his siblings, Paula Kerreos, Maria (Al) Sandow and Randy Meyer; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Amy Pignatelli, and his very special granddog, Asa. John was preceded in death by two siblings, Shirley Stabek and Sue Kerreos Capodanno.
Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Old Town Christian Outreach, 600 Gratiot Rd. Pastor Donald Dinninger will officiate. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Tuesday from 12:00 until the time of service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
