Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Age 84 years. Daughter of the late Anton and Anna (Alessandroni) Colasacco, JoAnn was born June 24, 1938 in Ironwood, Michigan. She was married for 63 years to her loving husband David L. Heath and together they raised four children. He predeceased her March 21, 2022. JoAnn was a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church where she was a member of its’ Choir and volunteered much of her time. She recently moved to Wellsprings apartment where she was meeting new friends and enjoying the activities. JoAnn was a very kind and generous person who loved spending time with her family above all.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her son Michael (Kathy) Heath of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; three daughters, Carol O’Neill of Farmington Hills, Michigan; Nancy (Steven) Kwaiser of Saginaw, Michigan; and Suzanne (John) Shorey of Galesburg, Michigan. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Megan (Brad) Witte, Sara (Stephen) Sian, Lauren Heath (Hans Dalton), Abbie Heath, Daniel O’Neill, and Jacob Shorey; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Ava; her siblings, Anton (Terri) Colasacco of Cadillac, Michigan; Myra (Bob) Fall of Traverse City, Michigan, Madelyn (Joe) Moon, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by one sister, Trina Korhonen and one brother, Louis Colasacco.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 7 , 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday , November 6 , 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
