Loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully Friday, December 16, 2022 at her home. Age 85 years. Daughter of the late John Francis and Lorraine (Entwistle) Donovan, Joan was born Nov. 26, 1937 in Muskegon, Michigan and the eldest of 13 siblings. She attended Muskegon Catholic High School. She was married to Joseph John Kiss. He predeceased her. Joan was retired from the State of Michigan, Department of Social Services. She was a member Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church for 42 years and was very active and devoted to the church. Joan was also a member of the League of Catholic Women.
Surviving to cherish her memory are five sons, John Kiss, Manistee; Jeff Kiss, Manistee; Joel and Michelle Kiss, Kochville Twp., Joseph and Kelly Sue Kiss, Freeland; Jason and Kelly Lynn Kiss, Saginaw Twp.; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Annaliese, Kristen, Jordan, Jenna, Kade and Kole; several nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her son, Jay Kiss.

Honoring Mrs. Kiss’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private memorial service for the family will take place.
