Jerry R. Nolen passed away on January 6, 2023 at the age of 79, at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn. Born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Roy Nolen on April 23, 1943 in Jefferson City Missouri. As a young boy the family moved to Flint, Michigan where he completed his education. In 1961 he enlisted in the United States Navy serving in the Cuban blockade, while in the service he met Charlotte K. Judd, they were wed December 18, 1965, two daughters were born of this union. Jerry retired as a supervisor at Buick in Flint after over 30 years of service, he loved to golf, hunt, fish, boating, cook and tinker in the garage. He was always fixing something, Jerry also enjoyed entertaining.
He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte, daughters, Melissa (Walter) Cramer Jr, Saginaw; Sara (James) Erzen, Holt, Michigan; four grandchildren, Alexander (Stephanie) Cramer Bay City, Katey Skerratt, Cecelia Skerratt, and Adeline Ezren of Holt, Michigan; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Cramer, Gemma and Liam Boyle also of Bay City. Jerry is also survived by siblings, Marsha Anderson, Judy (Nolen) Weaver, Robert Nolen, and Brenda (Nolen) Bauer; and many dear nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Roy and Gladys, siblings Jan and David.
Honoring Mr. Nolen’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Deacon Jeff Rauschert will officiate with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #439 and the U.S. Navy. A private entombment will take place at a later date at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Toni & Trish House in Auburn. Michigan.
