Our beloved father, son, nephew, cousin, and friend, Jeremy Allen Smith, passed away unexpectedly in the morning hours of Friday, November 4, 2022 at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 43 years. Jeremy was born on September 19, 1979 in Saginaw, Michigan to his father, Allen Smith, and late mother, Patricia Ann Wiegand. Jeremy attended Heritage High School and loved playing baseball in his younger years. Over the years, Jeremy worked at several local establishments as a cook. He enjoying playing golf, bowling, and going camping whenever possible. Jeremy was known to cook for whoever was hungry; he would put together a feast and share stories and memories with friends and family around the grill; it was a frequent event. Jeremy had a passion for animals; his best friend was his Pitbull, Athena, who he shared many great times with. Jeremy always had a close eye on “the littles”, making sure they were always good and taken care of. Jeremy will be missed dearly by all, and his memories cherished forever.
Left to cherish his memories are his son, J.J.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and very close friends. Jeremy is happily reunited with his mother, Patricia Ann Wiegand; sister, Stephanie McCoy; grandparents, Gerald and Delores Wiegand.
The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. Saginaw, MI 48603 (Between McCarty and Shattuck Rds.). Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Steven M. Gavitt. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. At the request of Jeremy and his family, cremation will take place following services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the “Wishes of the Family”, in care of Mary Beth Hunt.
