Beloved mother, grandmother and companion passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her home. Age 66 years. The daughter of the late Paul Goodwin and Ruby (DeForest) Hodges, Janice was born on May 31, 1955 in Saginaw, Michigan. Janice and her longtime significant other Stan enjoyed wintering in Port Charlotte, Florida with their Harley, snowmobiling and fishing off the pontoon.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, David Belt, Saginaw; Lindsay (Caleb Colmus) Schneer, Saginaw; the love of her life, Stan Nowaczyk, Houghton Lake; two grandchildren, Kylee Colmus and Alicia Colmus; three brothers, Wayne Goodwin, Jerry Goodwin and Ron Goodwin; many nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Goodwin.
Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Amy Terhune will officiate. Honoring Janice’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
