Saginaw, Michigan.
Loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed into God’s Garden on Monday, February 15, 2021. Age 85 years. Daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (Niemiec) Nugent, Jane was born August 24, 1935 in Lilly, Pennsylvania. She was a SVSU graduate and retired from the State of Michigan. She was a master gardener and loved to be outside in her flower beds. Inside she loved the company of her cats, reading and playing games on her computer. At family gatherings, she was looking for a partner to get the euchre games started.
Surviving to cherish her memory are three daughters and four sons, Mary (Jim) Rose, Patrick (Janet) Chard, Bonnie (Ken) Badour, Steven (Zofi) Chard, Carol (Tom) Miller, Jeffrey (Charlee) Chard and David (Tammy) Chard; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Rita (Len) Serenko of Portage, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by three grandsons, a great-grandson, a sister and two brothers. The family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Healthcare in St. Louis, Michigan for their compassionate care.
Funeral Service will take place 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw. Her granddaughter, Theresa Van Sumeren will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 12:00 noon until time of service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed.
