Obituary for James P. Fehrman

James P. Fehrman,
Saginaw, Michigan.
Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, November 26, 2022. Age 88 years. Son of the late William and Nina (McDonagh) Fehrman Sr., James was born December 27, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. James was a 1952 graduate of Saginaw High, where he met his high school sweetheart. On July 19, 1952 at St. Casimir Church, James married the love of his life Virginia R. Becmer. She predeceased him October 23, 2021. James was a tool maker / inspector at Saginaw Steering Gear for 35 years retiring in 1987. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council #4232. James and Virginia forever cherished the memories of traveling together. It was a proud accomplishment of theirs that they traveled to all 50 states and spent their winters in Arizona. When their children were younger, they enjoyed taking them on various family vacations.
Surviving to cherish his memory are three daughters and three sons, Pamela (Keith) Waters, of Saginaw, MI, Philip (Marianne) Fehrman of Saginaw, MI, Brian (Aurelia) Fehrman of Saginaw, MI, Denys Lundberg of Charlevoix, MI, Angela King of Midland, MI and Andrew (Debra) Fehrman of Saginaw, MI; 18 grandchildren, Stephen Waters, Amy Quinn, David Waters, Carissa (Andrew) Heidger, Sarah (John) Lazzaro, Jeremy (Alley) Fehrman, Christopher (Sayward) Fehrman, Anna (Ross) Thormeier, Joseph (Abby) Fehrman, Alicia ( Mike) Zara, Jessica Fehrman, Olivia Fehrman, Eddie Lundberg, Alyssa (Bart) Sequin, Racheal King, Ashley Fehrman, Jason Fehrman and Brandi Fehrman; great-grandchildren, Isabelle (Michael) Wale, Connor, and Logan Quinn, Madison, Bryce and Nollan Brutkiewicz, Delaney and Emerie Waters, Noble, Hannah, Addison Cradit, Michael and Jack Heidger, Arianna, Gabriella, Jacob, and Penelope Lazzaro, Abigail and Emmeline Fehrman, Avery and Jerica Fehrman, Nicole, Grant, Megan, Lindsey Thormeier, Jude Sequin and Mason Hainstock; his sister, Anne Ruffle of Freeland, MI ; sisters-in-law, Julie Becmer of Saginaw, Twp. MI and Clara Fehrman of Saginaw, MI; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. James is happily reunited with his wife, Virginia; his parents, William and Nina Fehrman Sr,; brother, William Fehrman Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William F. and Isabelle L. (Mocny) Becmer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joan (Vern) Hillaker, Thomas Becmer and Larry Ruffle.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish- St. Helen Catholic Church, 2415 N. Charles St., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate. Visitation will take place at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private Family Rite of Committal and Entombment will take place at St. Andrew Mausoleum in Saginaw, Michigan.
