Obituary for James Lee "Jimmy" Drager, Jr.

Drager, James Lee, Jr. “Jimmy”
Carrollton, Michigan

Our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, James Lee “Jimmy” Drager, Jr., passed away in the morning hours of Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 39 years. Jimmy was born on August 9, 1983 in Saginaw, Michigan to his father, James Lee Drager, and his late mother, Suzanne Kay (Pickelmann) Drager. Jimmy was a 2001 graduate of Carrollton High School. Following high school, Jimmy went on to further his education by attending Delta College; there he received two Associate's Degrees. Throughout his lifetime Jimmy was a very dedicated worker; working various jobs mostly pertaining to the wholesale food industry. One of Jimmy’s favorite places was his family’s cabin on Higgins Lake; he loved everything about being up north. Especially boating, fishing, and four-wheeling. Jimmy’s father will forever cherish the memories of restoring and working on cars with his son. Wherever Jimmy went his faithful companion and best friend, Biscut, wasn’t far behind; being in the way most of the time. With his many joys in life, nothing brought Jimmy more happiness than the time he was able to spend with his family and friends; especially his nephew, Hunter. Jimmy will continue to share BIG HUGS from Heaven to Hunter and the rest of his family.

Left to cherish his kind heart and gentle spirit are his father, James L. “Jim” (Jean) Drager; sister, Kelsey (Drew) Woods; nephew, Hunter Woods; grandmother, Viola Drager; special companion, Biscut; aunts and uncles, Rick (Melva) Drager, Kenny (Kim) Drager, Dennis Pickelmann, and Janet Crippen; numerous cousins, and friends. Jimmy is happily reunited with his mother, Suzanne K. “Sue” Drager; grandparents, Ervin Drager and Charles and Shirley Pickelmann.
