Obituary for James Gregory Pruden
James Gregory Pruden,
Saginaw, Michigan.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. Age 67 years. Son of the late Duane and Jean (Niederstadt) Pruden, James was born January 18, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married the love of his life, Teresa L. Esckilsen, his loving wife of 47 years, on August 11, 1973. She survives him. James began his career with United Parcel Service and retired out of automotive sales management. He was an avid golfer and recently achieved a hole in one which he was very proud of. James was a devoted family man and was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife Teresa are one son and one daughter, Wesley and Catherine Pruden, Freeland; Erica Fritzler and her fiancé, Rich Perdue, Bay City; four grandchildren, Beckett , Parker, Emersyn and Landon; his sister, Patricia Pruden, Saginaw; his brother, Al Pruden , Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Garcia.
Honoring Mr. Pruden’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private Memorial Service will take place 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty).The Rev. Pamela Renna will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the READ Association of Saginaw County.
