James F. Wolf,
Saginaw, Michigan.

Beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Wellspring Lutheran Assisted Living. Age 82 years. Son of the late James D. and Doris (Zissler) Wolf, James was born September 21, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served honorably in the U.S. Army. James married Chong Sun Cho on December 11, 1961. She predeceased him June 16, 2009.After returning from the Army, James became a Saginaw City Police Officer and then became a Security Guard at General Motors from 1969 until his retirement in 1999. James was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Saginaw Gun Club and was past president of the United Plant Guard Workers of America Local #168 in the tri-county area representing Security Guards from General Motors, and Monitor Sugar. He was an expert rifleman and avid hunter with his favorite being water fowl.

Surviving to cherish his memory are one daughter and two sons, Katherien Oosterwal and her husband Dr. Paul Stinavage, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Robert L. and Nicole Wolf, Rochester Hills, Michigan; James D. Wolf and his spouse Mike Barwig, Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Audrey Oosterwal, Chicago, Illinois; Eva Oosterwal, Orlando, Florida; Julia Wolf, East Lansing, Michigan; Jenna Wolf, Rochester Hills, Michigan; two brothers, Mark Wolf, Owosso, Michigan; Jeff and Elaine, Wolf, Corunna, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Pam Wolf, Owosso, Michigan; a brother-in-law, Gary Smith, Monroe, Michigan; an uncle and aunt, Jerry and Joan Wolf, Bridgeport, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Avis Leach and her family. James was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, Patricia (Wolf) and Frank Hatfield, Marjorie (Wolf) Smith, John and Ellie Wolf, Gerald Wolf; and a sister-in-law, Patricia (Mathews) Wolf.

Funeral Service will take place 11:30 Friday, March 24, 2023 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), Saginaw. Rev. Mark Auernhamer will officiate. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Services conducted by the U.S. Army and American Legion Post #439. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
