Obituary for James Evan Krueger

James Evan Krueger,
Saginaw, Michigan.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away peacefully Sunday, March 24, 2024 at his home with his family at his side. Age 85 years. Son of the late Otto and Gertrude (Kriewall) Krueger, James was born October 28, 1938 in Harbor Beach, Michigan. He served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corp. James married Patricia A. Bame, his loving wife of 64 years, on January 3, 1960. She survives him. James was a cost and estimating engineer at U.S. Graphite for over 30 years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. James enjoyed U. of M. and Lions Football, the Detroit Tigers and especially spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife Patricia are two daughters and two sons, Kevin and Midge Krueger, Colorado City, Colorado; Kendra and Joseph Haiser, Saginaw; Keith and Pamela Krueger, Saginaw; Kerry and Clinton Wood, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Cheryl and Dennis Rienstra, Cass City, Michigan; three brothers, David Krueger, Harbor Beach, Michigan; Larry and Elaine Krueger, Southfield, Michigan; Mark and Jean Krueger, Essexville, Michigan; many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Camryn Wood; one sister, Dorothy Krueger; and one brother, Otto Krueger.
Honoring Mr. Krueger’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 5051 McCarty Rd., Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Pastor Michael Nitz will officiate. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
