James D. “Jim” Thompson,
Saginaw, Michigan.

Amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 78 years. Son of the late Jack and Marion (Price) Thompson, James was born January 12, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Janet M. Owens, his loving wife of 58 years, on November 7, 1964. She survives him. Jim was employed at General Motors for 37 years and a member of U.A.W. Local #699. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Surviving besides his wife Janet are three daughters and one son, Beth and Kirk Wahl, Sterling; Kimberly Ruimveld, Holland; Lisa and Timothy Ulicki, Saginaw; Jeffrey J. Thompson, Holland; 12 grandchildren; Heather, Amanda, Kristen, Scott, Jordan, Kayla, Austin, Katie, Brandon, Megan, Alex and Brenna; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Jack and Carol Thompson, Sanford; two twin sisters, Betty Robb, Bay City; Barbara Miller, Bay City; a sister-in-law, Marge Thompson, Bay City; many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Nowaczyk, and two brothers, David and Richard Thompson. A special thanks to the Covenant Cooper third floor staff for the exceptional care that was given to Jim and his family.

Honoring Mr. Thompson’s wishes cremation has taken place.
