Beloved brother and uncle passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. Age 90 years. The son of the late William and Clara (Trier) Soper, Herman was born on December 3, 1931 in Auburn, Michigan and moved to Saginaw in 1944. Herman graduated from Arthur Hill School and then proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had an absolute passion for baseball, automobilia, especially classic convertibles and playing pool and cards. Herman was a member of American Legion Post #439.
Leaving to cherish his memory is one sister, Louise VanSickle, Tawas; a sister-in-law, Rita Soper and several nieces and nephews. Herman was preceded in death by his two brothers, Harold Soper and Oscar Soper.
Graveside service with military honors will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery, 2330 Eastman Rd., Midland, Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
