Harry Joseph “Oats” Griffore
Saginaw, Michigan

Harry Joseph “Oats” Griffore was welcomed home to his Lord God with “Well done, good and faithful servant”, on February 24, 2021 at New Hope Valley Saginaw after a brief but debilitating illness. The son of the late Harry Joseph and Gertrude Bertha (Eigner) Griffore, Harry was born on June 24, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated in 1964 from Arthur Hill High School. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed being outdoors with the breeze blowing, working in the fields with his crops. Being a resident of Saginaw his entire life, he got to be known by many, driving his red Chevy truck filled with fruits and vegetables to be sold and taking the time to talk with all of his customers. Hunting and fishing were hobbies he also enjoyed in his time on earth. Harry most of all was a believer of Jesus and found great comfort in reading and reciting the Bible to those that would listen. To be home with his Lord God would indeed be cause for celebration.

Harry is survived by his sisters, Monica (Carl) Ochsenkehl, Otsego and Marilyn (Lawrence) Champagne, Saginaw. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Joseph Griffore and Gertrude Bertha (Eigner) Griffore. Harry was also predeceased by his brothers, Harvey (Marcilyn) Griffore, Vincent (Janet) Griffore, George (Anna-Rae) Griffore, Jerome (Nancy) Griffore, Ronald Griffore and Paul Griffore. He had numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Jerry Wegner who helped Oats farm in the later years. They would also like to express their utmost thanks and gratitude to New Hope Valley Saginaw and Amara Hospice Care for the special care and kindness Harry received in his last days.

A private graveside service will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to New Hope Valley, 3785 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, Michigan 48603 or Amara Hospice Care, 3085 Bay Rd. Suite 3, Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
