Beloved father, brother, uncle and “ultimate grillmaster” passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 8, 2023 at his home. Age 65 years. The son of the late Gerald Klenk and Martha (Belill) Klenk on September 4, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan. Greg graduated from Arthur Hill High School and then earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Saginaw Valley State University. Greg married his best friend, Nancy Hubbell, on October 23, 1982. She predeceased him on February 24, 2018. Greg proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Greg was a walking encyclopedia when it came to music and automotive knowledge. Although quiet, his humor and wit will be greatly missed.


Surviving are his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Klenk and her fiancé, DJ Potts, New York, New York; his siblings, Mark (Diane) Klenk, Keving (Marilyn) Klenk, Marcia (Diane) Klenk, Michael Dukarski, Steven (Katherine) Dukarski; many nieces and nephews; his church community family including Henry and Janie Hadley and Margaret Gonzalez. Greg is also reunited with his beloved canine companion, Lucky.


Honoring Greg’s wishes cremation will take place. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023 St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd. Rev. Fr. James Bessert will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army and V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Imerman Memorial Park – Bark Park (Checks Made Payable to Saginaw Community Foundation - Saginaw County Parks Fund) or Amazing Grace Animal Shelter. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
