Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Alex and Frances (Ambs) Miller, Geraldine was born on January 19, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She married Daniel P. Quinn on November 14, 1953. He predeceased her on July 25, 1981. Geraldine was a lifelong member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was employed by Saginaw County for many years. Geraldine enjoyed traveling and spending the past 23 summers at East Tawas City Park.
Surviving are four children, Daniel P. (Peggy) Quinn, Jr., Yuma, Arizona; Constance Hornsby, Indianapolis, Indiana; Patricia (Joe) Hyde, Trout Lake, Michigan; Terrence (Kathy) Quinn, Saginaw; seven grandchildren, Daniel III, Heidi, Windi, Tyler, Colin, Derek, Emily; two great-grandchildren, Margaret and Lillian; special friend JoAnn Prueter and her family, Larry, Vicki, Michael, Tracey, Cameron, Amy, Daniel, Anthony, Grace, Hannah and Nicholas; many nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Quinn and Kevin Quinn; and two siblings, Dorothy Hilderbrant and Robert Miller.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at St. Dominic Parish – St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with entombment to follow in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
