Saginaw, Michigan.
Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Covenant Health Care. Age 79 years. Son of the late Walter and Marian (Ronan) Duhowski, Gerald was born August 11, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Carol Brasseur, his loving wife of 57 years on November 21, 1964. She survives him. Jerry was a pattern maker and was a member of the Patternmakers Union. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, was a member of Knights of Columbus Council # 4232 and the Moose Lodge #82. He enjoyed, puzzles, cooking, working around the yard, camping and spending time outdoors with his family.
Surviving besides his wife Carol are one daughter and one son, Stacy and Michael Shingles, Okemos, Michigan; Scott and Brenna Duhowski, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Zachary Shingles, Joshua Shingles, Connor Shingles and Memphis Duhowski; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger and Judith Brasseur, Saginaw; Barbara Price, Colorado; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard A. Bokinskie will officiate. Honoring Mr. Duhowski’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Heart Association or St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
