Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Country Square Adult Foster Care Home in Auburn. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Alfred and Alma (Fournier) Kennedy, Evelyn was born on December 25, 1934 in Merrill, Michigan. Evelyn was a graduate of St. Mary's Cathedral High School. She married Donald Felton on October 18, 1952. He predeceased her on May 27, 1993. Evelyn was a devout Catholic all of her life and her devotion to her faith was very important to her. Evelyn was a former member of Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption in Saginaw and current member St. Pius Catholic Church in Hale, Michigan, where for many years sang in the choir, served as a Eucharistic Minister and helped with missions and summer bible camp. She had a creative mind, and not only did she do all of the design work for the family home, she also was a very talented seamstress making countless quilts and clothing. In her younger years, Evelyn lead girl scout troops. Evelyn was very family oriented, and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Evelyn was employed in Housekeeping for Covenant Medical Centers (St. Luke’s Hospital) until her retirement. She volunteered countless hours with the Iosco County Senior Center visiting and doing skits for local nursing home residents.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Susan A. (Timothy) Steudle, Hale; Donna J. (Keith) Mayes, Mt. Pleasant; Donald J. (Dawn) Felton, Warrenville, South Carolina; William D. Felton, Saginaw; seven grandchildren, four great­ grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, Mary Tate, Dale (Barb) Kennedy, Janet Smith, Sr. Pat Kennedy; many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by a grandson, Trevor Gamache; her siblings, Margaret Marshall, Ann Enos and Arthur Kennedy.

Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with interment to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Pius Catholic Church in Hale.
