Ella Kusowski

Beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 90years. The daughter of the late Edward and Clara (Kubiak) Wressell, Ella was born January 15, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Eugene Kusowski Sr. on February 26, 1949 at St. Josaphat Church and they were married 65 years. He predeceased her December 13, 2015. She was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Ella was employed by Sears for 20 years retiring in 1994. She was an avid bowler in her younger years and was a fabulous cook. Ella loved preparing meals for her children and cherished time spent with family and friends.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, John, Jeff and Ann, all of Saginaw; she was predeceased by her oldest son, Gene Jr., in 2007; Ella is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Kusowski; grandsons, Robert and girlfriend Kate; Greg and wife Kerry; and Dan Kusowski; Ella is also survived by brother, Jim Wressell and wife Joan and their children; sister-in-law, Connie Maturen and nephew Bill Wressell and family; a niece, Kim Parth and family; special nephew, Bishop Gerald Vincke of Salena, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Fidelis and family; Dorothy and family; Monica and family; Bonnie and family; Evelyn and family; brother-in-law, Joe and family; also survived by family friend, Mary Volz; Ella is also survived by family friend, Stan Schultz, JoAnn Mitzel and Sally Schmelzer; and her beloved pets. Ella was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Bill Wressell Sr., Jack Wressell and Sharon Young, and by her best friend, Joyce Schultz.

Special thanks to my children, Ann, Jeff and John for their loving care and for being there when she needed them, and to Covenant Harrison 6-Main, Hoyt Nursing Home, Heart to Heart Hospice and Dr. Ruth Licht for their loving and compassionate care.

Ella requested a private funeral service. Rev. Fr. Richard E. Jozwiak officiated with Tori Little assisting. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
